Description
On each of the two long sides, 3 pylons are placed at a uniform distance from each other, about 5 meters from the gang. In canter, slalom is ridden around the pylons. One round each without canter change (so that part of the line is ridden in the outside canter) and one round with canter change, which takes place between the pylons.
Tips and hints
The path around the pylons should be chosen with foresight and ridden in a steady serpentine line. Canter changes should be made independently of the change of direction in a short moment when the horse is straight. To increase the difficulty level, this exercise can be ridden with five pylons instead of three.Slalom at canter © Victoria_Rubly
