World Cup Driving: Mareike Harm and Michael Brauchle at the start

Warendorf (fn-press). The Indoor World Cup has also started for the four-in-hand drivers. Last weekend the first stop took place in Lyon in France. For Germany Mareike Harm from Negernbötel in Schleswig-Holstein was at the start. She finished sixth with her horses Concetta, Quebec Sautreuil, Zatijn and Zazou. The victory went to the Australian Boyd Exell, who has already won the World Cup nine times.

For Mareike Harm and Michael Brauchle (Aalen), the second German four-in-hand driver in the World Cup, the next stop on the schedule is Stockholm/SWE from November 25-28. Michael Brauchle will then compete in Geneva/SUI from December 9 to 12 and in Mechelen/BEL from December 26 to 30, while Mareike Harm will start in London/GBR from December 14 to 20. The stage in Bordeaux/FRA from February 3 to 6 will take place without German participation. The stages in Maastricht, Stuttgart and Budapest have been cancelled.

The best six four-in-hand drivers will qualify for the final in Leipzig from April 6 to 10. As in 2011, this will be a multi-final with all World Cup equestrian disciplines. This means that the jumping, dressage and vaulting disciplines will also hold their finals in the Leipzig Exhibition Hall.

In the four-in-hand World Cup, two rounds will be run, consisting of a combination of classic cone obstacles from obstacle driving and fixed natural obstacles, which are otherwise components of cross-country driving.
