In 2018 he was the sensation: Vivino. The Vivaldi son changes then on the occasion of the Hanoverian licensing for 2.1 million euros in the possession of the stallion farms Helgstrand and Schockemöhle.

Not only at the time, but also today, this price was and is an absolute sensation.

Now it became known that the record winner will move to a new stable. More precisely, he will now go under the Spanish flag. His new rider will be the Spanish Grand Prix rider Alejandro Asencio Mendez.

But Mendez is no stranger to Andreas Helgstrand's dressage stable. The Spaniard already acquired his current young horse "Straight Horse Sezarion" by Sezuan at the home of Andreas Helgstrand.

"I tried several horses at Helgstrand," Mendez explained on Helgstrand Dressage's site. "Vivino gave me the right feeling from the beginning. It's obvious to anyone that he has exceptionally good gaits. But what you probably can't see from below is how attentive he is to his rider. That's a quality I really appreciate."

It was announced that the stallion is scheduled to move to his new stable at the end of the week. As a goal, he said, he should qualify for the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses this year.

Until now, Thomas Sigtenbjerggaard sat in the saddle of the chestnut. He announced that while he was happy that the stallion was moving to such a great stable, he was also sad that he was unable to participate in any competitions with Vivino last year due to the Corona pandemic.
