Team Irland: The nominees in showjumping and eventing for Tokyo

Michael Blake, Director of Show Jumping, and Sally Corscadden, Director of Eventing announced the Irish Show Jumping and Eventing Team nominees yesterday.

In show jumping they are:

• Bertram Allen with Pacino Amiro
• Darragh Kenny with VDL Cartello
• Cian O'Connor with Kilkenny
• As reserve: Shane Sweetnam with Karlin Van't Vennehof

In eventing they are:

• Cathal Daniels with Rioghan Rua
• Sarah Ennis with Horseware Woodcourt Garrison
• Sam Watson with Tullabeg Flamenco
• as reserve: Austin O'Connor and Colorado Blue and Joseph Murphy with Cesar V

There will be no nominees in dressage this year. The pairs that had qualified for the Olympics are no longer available due to injuries or retirement.
