Premiere: The Oldenburg mating program
The world's first mating program for modern riding horse breeding is online. All Oldenburg horse breeders can use the OL and OS account for their broodmares with the help of this program to specifically secure their breeding decisions: Size, type, stride - in which direction should the traits go? With which stallions is this most likely to be achieved? The mating program shows which stallions correspond to your wishes for a foal out of your mare on the basis of the hereditary profiles.
The innovative and unique Oldenburg mating program helps breeders to start a successful future with scientific knowledge that is always at hand. The basis for this is the Linear Description For many years, the Linear Descriptions and the Heredity Profiles have been helping Oldenburg breeders to choose the right stallion for their mare. On this data basis of approx. 30,000 Linear Profiles, the Oldenburg Horse Breeding Association is now taking a decisive step further towards digitalization and modernization with the mating program.
As early as October 18, 2021, we will offer all users of the OL and OS accounts the opportunity to test the mating program. With our "test mare" and a reduced number of traits, you can familiarize yourself with the functions at your leisure. The data of the stallions are already fully available to you. Whether in your living room, in the horse stable or on the road ¬- use as an Oldenburg breeder the possibility to check your ideas for mating planning based on scientific findings at any time.
