Warendorf (fn-press).

The medals at the Preis der Besten 2021 in show jumping have been awarded and gold goes completely to young ladies: Naomi Himmelreich and Hanna Schreder win in the Children and Juniors, Lisa Janßen and Maren Hoffmann in the Ponies and Young Riders.  Hanna Schreder (Regen/BAY) and Lakisha are the winners in the Prize of the Best Jumping in the age group Juniors (U18). The pair secured the overall victory in Warendorf with a third place in the first and second place in the second classification. Hanna Schreder has competed in the Prize of the Best once so far, back then in the Children's age group - in the Juniors it was her premiere, which she finished successfully. She says: "It was totally cool to ride here. Fortunately, we were able to attend a few tournaments beforehand and were well prepared. I owe that above all to my trainer, Karsten Huck. But a bit of luck was definitely also involved."

With the eleven-year-old Oldenburg mare Lakisha, who is also bred by Karsten Huck, the 17-year-old from Regen completed two clear rounds in the two competitions and rode her way into the final jump-off. Here they were the first pair to enter the course, set a fast time and then collected a drop - at the last jump of all places. The same thing happened to their competitor, Lisa Maria Funke (Goldenstedt/WES), who was a tenth slower and thus came third in the competition.

Malin Reipert (Linnich/RHL) and Nikita could go into the jump-off as the last of three pairs very relaxed, were five seconds slower than their predecessors, but just faultless and decided the final test for themselves. This was enough for second place in the overall standings. Third place in the Prize of the Best Juniors went to Sina Knoop from Hörstel (Westphalia) and Condino.

Naomi Himmelreich from Niederbrechen in Hesse won the youngest age group, the children up to 14 years, in a very confident manner. Already in the first classification she secured first and second place with her two horses An-Ton and Vino v't Kosterhof Z. In the second classification, only the horse changed, the name of the rider in first place remained the same. Thus, the 13-year-old won the overall classification with a five-point lead ahead of Paula Pahl (Jülich/RHL) with Kaischa. Actually, the bronze medal would also have gone to Naomi Himmelreich, but only one horse is scored for the medals. The third place in the Prize of the Best therefore went to Tony Stormanns (Eschweiler/RHL) and Dia Nova. The victory in the pony show jumping competition went to the Rhineland, to 16-year-old Lisa Marie Janßen from Uedem and her gray horse Nashville B. The two finished eighth in the first classification and decided the final in their favor, so that they also secured the overall classification by a narrow margin. The second score made the difference, because Franca Clementine Kröly (Isernhagen) also collected 59.5 points like the winner. However, she was "only" fifth in the final, after finishing second in the first classification. Her partner under the saddle knows the pony sport well: Karim van Orchids was already German Champion with his former rider Johanna Beckmann and finished sixth with her in the Prize of the Best in 2019. At 13 years old, his new rider still has plenty of time to collect further successes in pony sport with him. The bronze medal went to Lara Tönnissen (Senden) and Clarissa NRW with 55 points. The two placed fifth in both scores. "Goldquelle is my absolute favorite horse at our stable. I've been riding her since she was six, she's an incredible fighter and above all very basic fast," Maren Hoffmann enthused about her ten-year-old partner under saddle after the overall victory in the Prize of the Best of the Young Riders. Speed was indeed in demand in the U21 final. Six pairs made it into the jump-off and gave each other nothing. Maren Hoffmann and Goldquelle proved their speed and delivered the fastest round, but they made an obstacle fault. So the victory in the second classification went to Hannes Ahlmann and Nerrado. Since Maren Hoffmann had already won the first classification and was fifth in the final, she did not let herself be taken away from the overall victory. Henrike Ostermann (Lönigen/WES) and Air Force One won the silver medal after a second and a fourth place and only half a point behind. Bronze also goes to the equestrian federation Weser-Ems, to Max Haunhorst (Hagen) and Chaccara.
