Warendorf (fn-press). Show jumper Christian Ahlmann (Marl) has decided to give his stallion Dominator Z a break from competitions. After the eleven-year-old son of Diamant de Semilly did not show his usual exceptional performance in his last competition appearances and the rider had the feeling "that everything is not quite right" with his horse, Dominator Z was given a complete check-up at the veterinary clinic. The rider's feeling proved true. "We don't want to take any risks and give the horse a break first," says Christian Ahlmann.

Therefore, for the good of the horse, he has withdrawn his Dominator Z from the upcoming Nations Cup competitions and for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Christian Ahlmann is nevertheless confident: "We are full of hope that Domi will quickly find his way back to his old strength."
