Michel Palun died

It is sad news that has been reported from France. The French Grand Prix rider Michel Palun died unexpectedly on June 17. He was only 48 years old.


His life was riding and training young dressage horses in France. He was known everywhere in France and worked in different stables. In 2015 he fulfilled a dream and started his own business in Annemasse.


His international career began in 2005, where he first started to show a first Grand Prix partner "Falcon III" at national shows in France. Especially at the international tournaments in Vierzon and Vidauban was a frequent and welcome guest. From the year 2012 he dedicated himself again more to the Grand Prix sport and started with his new horses "For Fortune" and "Amaretto". In the past years he trained again and again with Hubert Perring and brought his new sport partner "Priceless" up to the medium tour of the international dressage sport.


His sudden death is attributed to a suspected heart attack. An ordered autopsy is to clarify the facts.
