(Neumünster) In less than four weeks, the Holstein horses will finally move back into the Holstenhallen in Neumünster: On the occasion of the licensing and elite riding horse auction, the proud breeders will present their rough diamonds. After the collection of three- to five-year-old riding horses, the stallion candidates can now also be viewed on the online portal holsteiner.auction.

The commission, consisting of breeding director Stephan Haarhoff (Kiel), Micheal Gonell (Eckernförde), Horst Klaus Heleine (Ober-Ramstadt), Lars Nieberg (Sendenhorst) and Christian Thoroe (Friedrich-Wilhelm-Lübke-Koog), has admitted 70 promising candidates to the Neumünster highlight this year. The lot is once again strongly influenced by the Cor de la Bryère line: with Casall as the sire alone, six stallions are competing. His sons Cascadello I, Central Park, Chopin and Cieran as well as his grandsons Charleston, Clarksville and Christer are also sending their offspring. Cor de la Bryère is also represented by three sons of Cornet Obolensky. The L-line is represented by three stallions sired by Livello or Larimar. In addition, Diamant de Semilly is present with his sons and grandsons, provides the desired blood diversity with Diarado, Dominator Z and Denver. The Verband stallion Uriko sends three sons into the round of the Holstenhallen this year, his son United Way is also well represented with three stallions in his first year at the licensing. Outcross stallions like Emerald van het Ruytershof, I'm Special de Muze or Manchester van't Paradijs provide further contenders, all of which could make for interesting blood alternatives. "The stallion lot this year is more diverse than ever," emphasizes breeding manager Stephan Haarhoff. "We have been presented with many very modern horses with fast and wealthy jumping ability."

Stallions now online The stallions - just like the approximately 45 elite riding horses - can now be viewed with pedigrees, photo and video material at holsteiner.auction. X-rays and veterinary examination results will also be available there from October 10. "Due to the great demand from exhibitors in previous years, in 2021 for the first time there will be the option to decide on the sale of a stallion only on Friday evening after the free jumping," says Managing Director and Auction Manager Roland Metz. "This means more flexibility for everyone involved." Roland Metz (phone: +49 171 4364 651, e-mail: rmetz@holsteiner-verband.de) will be happy to answer all questions about the auction and, of course, about the candidates themselves.

Advance ticket sales Thanks to the currently valid state regulation of Schleswig-Holstein, numerous spectators may be welcomed in Holstenhallen of Neumünster again this year. However, in compliance with the 3G regulation: all visitors must be vaccinated, tested or recovered. Advance ticket sales will begin shortly, further information on this and the event itself will be published at www.holsteiner-verband.de. Tickets are already available from 15 euros per day.
