On Saturday evening, simply everything was right at Hof Waterkant. Following a top-class ranking jumping competition, which was won by the Holstein-born Philip Rüping ahead of the host Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann, twelve foals were auctioned off in a great atmosphere and the finest summer weather. The highlight of the collection was auctioned off immediately with catalog number 1. This was a filly sired by the Schockemöhle stallion Chacco-Blue, who died much too early - just like Philip Rüping's winning horse in the previous jumping competition. But that's not all - the chestnut foal's dam is no less interesting, as she is none other than Whoopie C by Mr. Blue, who is also the dam of Daniel Deußer's championship horse Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z. Ozeana Tobago Blue - the name of the auction's top horse - was knocked down to customers from Denmark for 83,000 Euros after an exciting bidding duel in which Chacco Blue's former rider Andreas Kreuzer also participated for a long time. In addition to the new owners, the Verhaag/Schwarz-Hafter breeding team (Heueßen), which was responsible for breeding this ICSI foal, also had reason to be pleased.

The second most expensive offer went to Switzerland for 23,000 euros. This is Chilli Chief by H&M Chilli Willi-Colman from the proven breeding of the Thiedemann family from Oesterwurth, he comes from the Holstein line 2543. Licensed stallions, 1.60 meter show jumpers and a Holstein Champion Stallion already come from the direct dam line of the colt. The stallion Chinchero from Meyer-Zimmermann also had a great start. The four-year-old Chopin-Clarimo son was represented in the auction lot with three offspring of his premiere year. The most expensive among them cost 18,000 euros, has a Quantum dam and is bred by Sören von Rönne from Neuendeich. Another foal was also knocked down for 18,000 euros, namely the one with number 6. Cassilano JMEN and Colman are in the pedigree of the mare Onuschka EB, bred by Evi Bengtsson (Itzehoe), whose dam is a full sister to Kuschel's Ulika, the breeder's successful horse. "We are extremely satisfied with this result and I am happy that so many buyers were directly on site and bid," said Marketing Director Roland Metz following the successful premiere event at Hof Waterkant. "It is great that the Meyer-Zimmermann couple gave the Holsteiner Verband the opportunity to present these quality foals in this setting. The concept has been a complete success." On average, a foal cost a good 20,200 euros, and total sales of 242,500 euros were achieved.
