Herning: Langehanenberg on fourth place in Worldcup

Herning (fn-press).
After the World Cup Show Jumping last weekend in Oslo, the World Cup Dressage has now also started into the new season. In Herning, Denmark, the hosts made the first two places among themselves. The best German participant was Helen Langehanenberg (Billerbeck) with the Holsteiner Annabelle in fourth place.

Three German riders used the opening round of the Dressage World Cup in Denmark to collect their first points for the participation in the World Cup Final in Leipzig next April. Helen Langehanenberg presented herself best with the 13-year-old Holsteiner Annabelle. The Conteur daughter and her rider showed their technically very demanding freestyle with many highlights, but small mistakes also crept in, such as a pirouette that was not jumped through and quirks in transitions. With a score of 81.215, the pair finished fourth in the World Cup Freestyle, the same score with which they had already finished the Grand Prix (74.921).

The winner is a real superstar of Danish dressage and was celebrated accordingly by the audience. Cathrine Dufour, current Vice European Champion in the individual classification and bronze medal winner (individual) at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, did not compete with her current championship horse Bohemain, however, but with her now 18-year-old multiple European Championship participant Atterupgaards Cassidy. The Danish-bred son of Caprimond out of a Donnerhall dam and Dufour received 87.115 percent for the freestyle, which was rich in highlights. The pair had also won the Grand Prix by a clear margin (77.553).

A personal best result was achieved by the second-placed Carina Cassoe Krüth. She also represented the colors of the host country and, like Dufour, was a member of the Danish Olympic team in Tokyo. Riding the elegant Danish black mare Heiline's Daciera, daughter of Fürstenball OLD out of a De Niro dam, she scored 86.395 percent. Third place was secured by a guest from the Netherlands: Dinja van Liere and the KWPN stallion Hermes scored 84.36 percent.

In addition to Helen Langehanenberg, Ingrid Klimke (Münster) and Frederic Wandres (Hagen a.T.W.) had also made their way to Herning. Klimke and the Westphalian stallion Franziskus finished the first World Cup of the season in seventh place (78.75), Wandres and the Oldenburg horse Bluetooth OLD, formerly ridden by Ingrid Klimke, joined them in tenth place (75.715). Next weekend, the World Cup for both show jumpers and dressage riders* will make a stop in Lyon, France. hen
