Harm Sievers steps back

(Elmshorn/Kiel) Harm Sievers has resigned from his position as assessor on the board of the Association of Breeders of the Holstein Horse with immediate effect.

"The decision has been difficult for me," said the Tasdorfer, who had been elected at the delegates' meeting in March. However, he does not see the desired opportunities to contribute in the current constellation of the board. The cooperation in the executive committee would not correspond to his conceptions of confidence and respect. He hopes that his decision will lead to constructive discussions within the association. The First Chairman of the Holsteiner Verband, Hinrich Romeike, regrets Sievers' decision: "We are losing a man with extraordinary expertise who will be missed by our board, but I respect his decision. The board remains - even with four members - capable of working and making decisions," Romeike emphasizes. A replacement for the now vacant position as assessor will be found by election procedure on the occasion of the delegates' meeting in spring 2022.
