Hagen a. T.W. (fn-press). Maximum success for dressage rider Isabell Werth (Rheinberg) at the start of the international open-air season in Hagen am Teutoburg Forest: as part of the traditional “Horses&Dreams” tournament at Hof Kasselmann, Werth dominated the two Grand Prix tours with two different horses and won a total of four times . With the stallion DSP Quantaz she won Grand Prix and Special of the Four Star Tour. With her young horse, the Hanoverian mare Superb, she competed in an international Grand Prix for the first time and won both classes of the three-star tour. It was also a successful weekend for Benjamin Werndl (Aubenhausen): He took third place in the CDI4* Grand Prix with Famoso OLD and second place in the Special.

2022 is the year of farewell for Isabells Werth's successful horses of recent years. Weihegold OLD had her last tournament appearance at the World Cup final two weeks ago. Bella Rose's farewell to the sporting stage will be celebrated at the CHIO Aachen in July. With the twelve-year-old Brandenburg stallion DSP Quantaz (by Quaterback – Hohenstein), Isabell Werth wants to build on past successes at the World Championships in early August. And she already has her sights set on the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Superb (by Surprice – Donautanz) is ten years young and has now had her first appearances in the international Grand Prix in Hagen and is coming home with two golden ribbons. With the black mare, who has all the prerequisites for the most difficult Grand Prix lessons, who can only gain a little more strength and balance, Werth won the CDI3* Grand Prix on Wednesday at the start of the tournament with a result of 75.783 percent. A day later the special, this time with 75.404 percent.

The four-star tour began on Thursday and Werth again led the field in the Grand Prix. With DSP Quantaz she achieved 77.956 percentage points despite mistakes, for example in the canter changes from jump to jump. The couple finished the special on Saturday with 78.915 percent despite weaker grades for the step. "Super happy with both horses", Isabell Werth was right. After the Grand Prix with Quantaz she said: “He was in a great mood and showed a really great piaffe passage tour and great pirouettes. Maybe he was a bit over-motivated in the first trot traversal, but I was really happy with the way he did it - with power and expression."

Benjamin Werndl (Aubenhausen) and Famoso OLD (by Farewell III – Welt Hit II) also achieved two particularly harmonious rounds in the four-star tour. In the Grand Prix they took third place with 76.065 percent, in the Grand Prix Special they came second with 76.659 percent. "A great feeling in the square" Famoso gave him, said Werndl after the Grand Prix.
