That there are sometimes exciting changes on the world ranking list is not a rarity anymore. The world ranking list is still one of the most valuable success reflectors in equestrian sport.
For some time unchallenged at the top is the newly father and Olympic champion of 2012 Steve Guerdat.
But this lonely top could be in serious danger. None other than multiple World Cup winner Daniel Deusser has taken up the chase.
Just recently, he won one of the Rolex Grand Prix's in Wellington with his stallion Scuderia 1928 Tobago Z.
He was also able to win numerous other main jumping events in Florida with his other top horses, such as Killer Queen or Kiana vh Herdershof. This of course brings not only an enormous amount of prize money, but also many world ranking points.
Steve Guerdat, on the other hand, spent the winter at home at his facility in Switzerland and was therefore not able to gain many more points.
The two are now separated by only 25 points! Almost already a small sensation. In 3rd place then follows with 169 points distance to Deusser also a Swiss: Martin Fuchs.
So, the upcoming tournaments and the now beginning season in Europe will remain very exciting.
