As we reported yesterday, Monday, Dorothee Schneider fell at the dressage tournament in Pforzheim and crashed with her horse Fohlenhofs Rock n'Rose.
The mare fell due to a rupture of the aorta, dragging the team Olympic champion with her.
While the mare died still in the hall in Pforzheim, Schneider was initially treated by a doctor on site.
A few minutes later, the emergency doctor and the rescue service were also immediately present.
Dorothee Schneider was conscious throughout the accident.
Unfortunately, even when her mare died next to her.

Schneider was admitted to the hospital in Pforzheim the same evening. Already on the spot, one ruled out life-threatening injuries.
This morning Schneider was discharged. The diagnosis: collarbone fracture. This reported at least the Pforzheimer equestrian club president Christian Kraus.
Schneider was lucky in a very tragic accident, but now still has to take a break for several weeks. When she can ride again is still unclear.

On Instagram, the 51-year-old now said goodbye to her "Rosi" in a touching post.  "Rest in peace, beloved Rosi, you are forever in our hearts".
The 2004-born daughter of Rubin Royal OLD out of a dam by Feiner Stern was born at Heinrich Lahmeyer in Bassum.
In the possession stood the beautiful bay mare of the Fohlenhof in Hassloch.
Schneider writes about the mare: "The picture-perfect Fohlenhofs Rock'n Rose, with her powerful neck attachment more reminiscent of a stallion than a mare, is highly sensitive and likes to be a "hot stove" sometimes. I have intensively studied her psyche and am very happy about how much trust "Rosi" has in me in the meantime. Although she is sometimes over-motivated and excited, such as at her Grand Prix Freestyle premiere in 2018 in the large equestrian stadium of Mannheim, but still always on my side."

The EQUILEC team wishes Dorothee Schneider a lot of strength and a speedy recovery during this difficult time!
