The promotion of youth in Germany has already been a major focus for many years.
Experience over the years has shown that today's youth is tomorrow's future.
This makes it all the more important to promote the future today.
In Germany, there are several funding opportunities in the U21 area, both at rural but also national level.
Here one can name, among other things, the Hans- Günther Winkler - Bundesnachwuchschampionat, which was initiated by equestrian legend Hans Günther Winkler and takes place annually in Braunschweig.
In addition, one can also point out the "Golden Saddle" in Leipzig, which is also held as a special tournament format as part of the international tournament in Leipzig.
As another regional support foundation in Germany in the U21 area can be highlighted the Hessian "Dieter Hofmann Foundation" based at the Prinzenberg Stud in Pfungstadt.
These also support nationwide tournaments.

But for a long time, there was no funding opportunity for those riders who had reached the end of their young riding days but had not yet gained a hundred percent foothold in senior sport in Germany.

This is how "Germany's U25 Jumping Cup" was born, financed by the Müter family. The series' website says: "Germany's U25 Jumping Cup is made possible financially by the German Top Horse Sport Foundation and the Müter family, Elmgestüt Drei Eichen in Königslutter. Created on the initiative of Otto Becker and Heinrich-Hermann Engemann, the show jumping cup gives show jumpers up to 25 years of age the opportunity to gain further experience in top sport at top shows. Class S** and S*** competitions are ridden. The show jumping series is accompanied by a number of support measures. For example, the national trainers will be on hand to support the participants during the tournaments. The best riders will be invited to a training course with Heinrich-Hermann Engemann. The icing on the cake: A Nations Cup team will be put together from the finalists, who will be allowed to represent the German colors abroad."
Again this year, there will be some qualifiers for the Final in Aachen.
So among other things also in Mannheim, in the context of the Maimarkt tournament.
