Sportsman's choice in NRW: Julia Krajewski and Isabell Werth are nominated

The "Felix Champions Award", which the North Rhine-Westphalia Sports Association and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia are presenting for the 14th time this year, will be presented in seven categories. The nominees in the "Sportswoman of the Year" category also include two Olympic equestrian champions: Julia Krajewski and Isabell Werth. At the end of July, the 33-year-old won the individual gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo/JPN with her mare Amande de B'Neville.


Isabell Werth (Rheinberg) already has twelve Olympic medals to her name. In July, the 52-year-old became team Olympic champion in dressage for the sixth time and also won the individual silver medal with her mare Bella Rose. Shortly afterwards, Werth also secured team gold and individual silver at the European Championships in Hagen a.T.W. with Weihegold OLD.


Five sportswomen are nominated in this category. In addition to the two riders, wrestler Aline Rotter-Focken, road cyclist Mieke Kröger and judoka Anna-Maria Wagner are also nominated.
