For many equestrians, Riesenbeck International is synonymous with show jumping, and the location is firmly associated with four-time Olympic champion Ludger Beerbaum. Especially after he and his team hosted the Longines FEI Jumping European Championship this September. A championship that saw the revamped Riesenbeck International make its debut and cement its status as one of the most spectacular show grounds in Europe.

Smart investments and a clear focus on the welfare of horses and riders are key factors, according to Managing Director Karsten Lütteken: "Whether we are home to dressage or other disciplines, we do everything we can to provide the best possible conditions for riders, horses and spectators alike. The welfare of the horses is our top priority and is the foundation for us to continue hosting fantastic shows in the years to come. That's why we're incredibly excited to continue our great collaboration with the FEI and welcome the best dressage riders from across Europe in 2023." The FEI Dressage European Championships will take place in the incomparable ambience of the Surenburg Forest, where Riesenbeck International has several outdoor arenas, an indoor arena, 336 state-of-the-art stalls and a modern infrastructure at the ready. Spectators and participants will be offered a variety of exclusive catering, exhibition and shopping facilities. Parking will be available in close proximity and on a large scale.

Riesenbeck International's extensive expansions and modernizations were realized following its acquisition by Global Equestrian Group earlier this year. Andreas Helgstrand, CEO of the group, comments: "I have the utmost respect for the entire Riesenbeck team. Being a dressage rider myself, I can't wait to see how the organizers take the FEI European Dressage Championships to a whole new level. You have to be here in the middle of the forest to really feel the unique atmosphere. I am overwhelmed by the beauty of this environment and the precision of Riesenbeck International's organization, which can now be experienced by dressage enthusiasts. We couldn't be happier." The exact dates for the FEI European Dressage Championships have not yet been set, but are expected to take place in early August 2023.
