World premiere: An exclusive NFT for the Aachen winners
World premiere after the Turkish Airlines Prize in Europe: Winner McLain Ward from the USA was the first rider ever to receive his very personal CHIO HORSE, an NFT.
McLain Ward looked a bit puzzled when he was presented with the NFT in the press conference, but the second-placed world number one, Martin Fuchs from Switzerland, quickly explained to him what it was all about. Ward's reaction: "Wow! That's exclusive!"
The winners of the major tests at the CHIO Aachen 2022 will receive an exclusive NFT in the style of the CHIO HORSES, visually based on the winning horse. The NFTs are generated on site by the employees of Beyonity Deutschland GmbH. An NFT, a "non-fungible token", i.e. a non-exchangeable object, is a virtual object where it is clear that nobody else has this digital object, each NFT is unique. At the CHIO Aachen, this NFT is a "CHIO Horse". Owners of such an NFT are automatically members of an exclusive community - the "CHIO HORSE CLUB".
